Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (#A16057) in North Carolina and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She is a Certified Grief Professional trained and certified by PESI (#16057). She works under the supervision of Dr. Katie Duckworth. She is currently working toward Certification in Thanatology through the Association of Death Education and Counseling and Certification in Grief Therapy as Meaning Construction at the Portland Institute for Loss and Transition. Her clinical specialities include grief, anxiety, existential threats, life-threatening illness such as cancer, caregiver distress, end-of life-decisions, and healthcare provider compassion fatigue, burnout, and moral distress. She provides counseling to individuals, couples, and families and lead virtual support groups on a variety of issues.
